Community Service Trash Pick-Up

Community Service workers will be assigned and scheduled to complete community service by picking up trash in local community parks and in public spaces.

Volunteer community service workers will receive specific instructions and a required minimum number of hours which must be worked each week in order to complete assigned hours on schedule.

The instructions you will receive are very simple and all details are included. Most volunteers are able to start working immediately after receiving the instructions but if you have any questions a supervisor from FOTP will be available to answer all your questions and walk you thru the entire process.

To get started you will be provided with an app that you must load on your cell phone before starting any work. This app will allow all supervisors within our organization to communicate with you and monitor your movements but only during the time that you are completing your community service hours. You are able to turn this app on and off when you are not doing community service so you will only be tracked when you have it turned on.

Community Service App

Our supervisors will be using modern technology to monitor your progress and insure your full compliance at all times. Supervisors will also be checking up on you and spot-checking your work at random times. Supervisors will also require you to submit very specific pictures as proof that you are following all instructions and completing the work as required.

Supervision

Virtual monitoring using a smartphone mobile app will require you to provide your whereabouts by using your cell phones location services and also verify your identity by using facial recognition and/or fingerprint ID on your cell phone. This technology allows your supervisor to monitor all your movements and record your actions from a remote location. This technology will make it easier to complete your required hours without requiring a supervisor to physically stand behind you and watch you pick up garbage. You will be required to activate the tracking app each time you pick up trash and follow all instructions as provided. If you do not follow instructions and complete the work as required your hours may not be approved or you may not receive credit.

Approval for Community Service

Volunteers with our organization may be asked to participate in a variety of tasks which are designed to serve the community where they live. These projects are monitored by a field supervisor and daily records are kept to insure that all program guidelines are being met.
